Welcome to the 2008 Holmfirth
Food & Drink Festival Website.
The festival proved
to be the best yet with more venues than
ever participating, providing special offers and
one-off events throughout the weekend.
Whether you are a serious foodie or someone who just
appreciates good food and drink, there was more than
enough at our festival to ensure that you, and your
friends and family, had a great time. And you certainly
got to taste the
difference.
The festival now in its third year, was an
excellent showcase for producers and eateries
alike and anyone visiting one of the participating
establishments weren't disappointed.
Our festival was great fun. There was a brilliant atmosphere
throughout the weekend that won't be forgotten. There
really was something for everyone, from gourmet
sausage fans to beer lovers.
Festival events ranged from taster sessions of
local produce, special menus, cookery
demonstrations, tours, competitions, talks and much
more.
A park and ride scheme was in place on
both days, with signage on the way into
Holmfirth.This year, it also included a
drop off and pick up point at
Cragrats Café Bar where visitors got to call in for a
drink or lunch enjoying a complimentary glass of
organic wine.
We enjoyed seeing you there and would like
to thank

its festivals and the Holmfirth Food & Drink
Festival is now considered by the food producers to
be one of the best in the North.
Deliciously Yorkshire and
British Food Fortnight are linking to our
festival, the
Yorkshire Tourist Board are attending and even
our local celebrities are asking to be involved, it
