

Best known for its Last of the Summer
Wine connections, in Holmfirth, you can explore 'setted
ginnels' and discover former weavers' cottages, art
and craft galleries, including that of Ashley
Jackson, as well as some familiar TV locations.
Holmfirth is surrounded by the breathtaking scenery
of the South Pennines and the Peak District National
Park, and is traversed by the Pennine Cycleway,
making it an ideal area
for walking, cycling,
touring and exploring.

By road
The M62 crosses the north of the district and offers
easy connections with the M1, M6,
and A1 north/south
routes. Good roads within the area enable easy
touring.
By rail
The frequent Trans-Pennine service provides a fast
link from Huddersfield and Dewsbury
to York, Leeds,
Manchester, and Liverpool. Connections to the main
inter-city east and
west coast routes make it easy
to get to Kirklees from all parts of Britain. For

Park & Ride
A free Park and Ride scheme is operating on both days.
Free car parking is available at Dunsely Heating with a free mini-bus
service running into Holmfirth Town Centre between 9.30am and 6.30pm.
Arriving from Huddersfield, pass the Holme Valley Memorial Hospital on your
right and then turn right onto New Road, then immediately left into the Car
Park. From Manchester, continue along Huddersfield Road, passing the town
centre continue past the Adult Education Centre on your left for another
500metres, New Road is on your right. There will be plenty of Park and Ride
signage en route.
