The M62 crosses the north of the district and offers
easy connections with the M1, M6,
and A1 north/south
routes. Good roads within the area enable easy
touring.
By rail
The frequent Trans-Pennine service provides a fast
link from Huddersfield and Dewsbury
to York, Leeds,
Manchester, and Liverpool. Connections to the main
inter-city east and
west coast routes make it easy
to get to Kirklees from all parts of Britain. For

Park & Ride
A free Park and Ride scheme is operating on both days,
with two car parks serving the town centre. Dunsley Heating off Huddersfield
Road will collect and drop off in Crown Bottom Car Park to access the town
via the river walkway, and on Dunford Road, next to Underbank Rugby Club,
dropping off at the bottom of Dunford Road.
